The Joy of Receiving a Hand-Written Card!

I heart receiving a hand-written a card. There is something about opening your mailbox and finding a card from someone. Whether is it a birthday or holiday or a thinking of you card, there are all wonderful to receive.

Earlier this year I decided to use photos from my Fine Art Collection to create unique greeting cards. Here are a few of my recent favorites from my Fine Art Collection.

The photos are 3.5 by 5 inches in size. The blank greeting card(s) are delivered in a clear plastic envelope. All photos are stamped on the backside of the photo with Anna Murrow Photography. The back side of the blank greeting cards are stamped with Anna Murrow Photography as well.

Aaron, Jessica, Quinn, and Lauren

Talk about making my job easy – Aaron, Jessica, Quinn, and Lauren are a dream to photograph!

We always have such a fun time at their Fall family photo session.

Quinn is such a sweet girl. She loves being a big sister and helping Lauren when Lauren allows it.

Lauren is an independent little thing! She may be little, but she is tough as nails.

I love being able to capture specials moments like this. Wishing Aaron, Jessica, Quinn, and Lauren a wonderful holiday season.

Three Peas In A Pod

Steve, Steph, and Ava Mae are three peas in a pod. I knew when we planned the Fall family photo session we would have a blast and capture amazing photos!

Ava Mae is a force of nature – she is spunky, loving, caring and has a heart of gold.

Steve is a jokester and makes everybody laugh. He has a heart of gold and is amazing with Steph and Ava Mae.

Steph is my best friend, so naturally, I think pretty highly of her. She is an amazing debater, good listener and unbelievably talented. She has an incredible vision and can make, build and create anything.

As I said, three peas in a pod!

Jeremiah, Lisa, Savanna, and Wyatt

I heart Fall family photo sessions – it is so much fun to see my wonderful clients and catch up. Jeremiah, Lisa, Savanna, and Wyatt are an amazing family, and I am honored that they entrust me to capture their family photos year after year.

Savanna is a sweet and kind little girl. She is always up for anything and such a good listener. She is natural in front of the camera and can straight a pose with little to no direction.

Wyatt…Wyatt has a thousand different smiles, all equally as amazing. He is a mover and shaker, always on the go. His personality is larger than life and always can make me laugh.

Jeremiah and Lisa are such a sweet couples and wonderful parents. It is a joy to capture their Fall family photos.

Andy, Kady, Wyatt, and Sawyer

I love watching families grow! I have known Kady for what seems like a lifetime. It has been a joy to watch her grown up and become a wife and a mom. The Green family is made of up Andy, Kady, Wyatt, and Sawyer. I am honored that I was able to capture Andy and Kady’s wedding, mature session and Wyatt’s newborn and 1st Birthday session and family photos!

Wyatt is a silly and sweet boy! We had a wonderful exploring the woods and finding all kinds of “cool stuff.”

Sawyer is a sweet old soul. He loves to follow his big brother and playing in the dirt.

We had a blast exploring and capture their moments in time!

The Age Old Question, Why Did I Become a Photographer?

People often will ask me why I became a photographer. Eight days after my 19th birthday, I became an aunt. I felt this sudden urge to document everything, and I mean everything. I wanted to capture every moment in Colin’s life and preserve it. I invested in a good camera and began my adventure. How many photos do you need a 15-month-old little boy opening Christmas gifts, in my world, you need at least 100, eating a popsicle, at least 30, playing with pots and pans, 50 of course! As Colin grew, my ability to capture those amazing moments was dwindling…..Colin was fast, and my camera was slow. Photos were turning out blurry, and I was missing key moments! I made the decision to update my camera and invest in a DLSR. I had no idea what I was doing, but I knew that I would be able to capture Colin moving quickly! That was all that mattered to me. As began to take photos (in A for AUTO mode) I learn that my camera was capable of so much more. I decided to see what happened if I put my camera in M mode or AV mode. If I do this, this happens, but if I change this, then this happens. It was very overwhelming, and my head began to spin. I started researching anything and everything that I could think of to do with photography and taking photos of EVERYTHING. I am pretty sure I took at least 500 photos of my Christmas tree one year. One day it just clicked, and I began to see the world differently – I began to see the world through my lens. And that is where is all began.

Zoe & the North Loop

It was a beautiful Sunday morning, and I was thrilled to be spending it in the North Loop with Zoe. The North Loop in downtown Minneapolis is a unique and fun neighborhood. It also happens to be a photographer’s dream to shoot. There are so many nooks and crannies that provide a unique background.

Zoe was a natural in front of my camera. She is a beautiful and confident young women, and it shows in her photos. Zoe will be a sophomore at St.Michael- Albertville High School this coming school year. She is a social butterfly and constantly on the go with different activities. I was honored to capture this time special time in her life.
